✦ Why the King of Thèbes

A Floating Palace, Freshly Reborn

The M/S King of Thèbes has been completely renovated to deliver 5-star luxury on the Nile — with 63 spacious 22 m² cabins (large for the river), a signature Master Suite, an outdoor pool, spa, fitness room and reading lounge. The crew — seasoned Nile veterans — will guide you through pharaonic history while you eat, swim, dance and sleep above the river of the gods.

22 m² Cabins — Spacious for the Nile

Large panoramic windows, private bathrooms with hairdryer, individually controlled A/C, satellite TV, safe and minibar. Genuinely roomy — not the standard cramped river cabin.

Spa, Massage & Fitness Room

A full-service spa and massage room, plus a fitness room so you can stay active between temple visits — a rare amenity on the Nile.

Outdoor Pool & Sun Deck

Refreshing outdoor swimming pool on the top deck with loungers and shaded areas — perfect for long sunny days between excursions.

Evening Entertainment Onboard

Lounge-bar with disco area, reading room, and nightly Galabeya Parties, Nubian folkloric shows and Oriental dance — all included.

It offers exceptional space and amenities for the price.
How many cabins does the ship have?
64 rooms in total: 63 spacious cabins of approximately 22 m² each, plus 1 exclusive Master Suite. Maximum capacity is approximately 128 guests.
Is there an all-inclusive beverage package?
Yes — an all-inclusive beverage package is available as a supplement, covering water, sodas and alcoholic beverages including wine, from 10am to 10pm. Tea, coffee and 1 bottle of water per person per day are included at no extra charge.
What is included in the cruise price?
All meals on a full-board basis (breakfast, lunch, dinner), Egyptologist-guided excursions, entrance fees to every site mentioned in the program, private transfers, daily bottled water, tea time at 16h, and onboard evening entertainment including Galabeya party and Nubian folkloric show. Alcoholic beverages, gratuities, spa services, flights and the Egyptian visa are not included.
Which direction should I choose — Luxor to Aswan, or Aswan to Luxor?
It depends mainly on your flights. The 5-day Luxor → Aswan program departs Saturdays and finishes in Aswan (ideal before flying out of Aswan or continuing to Abu Simbel). The 4-day Aswan → Luxor program departs Wednesdays and finishes in Luxor. Both cover the same highlights — just in reverse order and with one extra day on the 5-day route.
Do I need a visa for Egypt?
Most nationalities require a tourist visa. You can usually apply for an e-visa online before travel, or obtain a visa on arrival at major airports. Our team is happy to advise based on your nationality.
What should I pack?
Lightweight breathable clothing, a hat, sunglasses, high-factor sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes for temple visits, a swimsuit, and a camera. Add a light jacket for cooler evenings between November and February.
